The latest Rosy Thornton book ‘Hearts and Minds’ free - hurry copies are limited

Published by kwan on 07 Jun 2008 at 11:22 pm under BookRabbit, Bookselling

Rosy Thornton has very kindly supplied us with some free copies of her latest book ‘Hearts and Minds

If you would like one to read , review and discuss please contact our Commercial Trading Manager: steve@bookrabbit.com with your address details. Copies are limited, so first come … first served.

Rosy is a member of BookRabbit and she elaborates that “The book is in the tradition of English ‘campus’ satires - about the political wranglings of a fictional Cambridge colege. But it’s a female twist on what has tendede to be a very male tradition: it’s about a women’s college which appoints a male head of house to the opposition of a posse of the feminist dons. It’s also got an angst-ridden mother-daughter relationship thrown in, with bags of maternal guilt, etc., and a minor romantic strand going on, too.”

Check out Rosy’s first novel , More Than Love Letters , which Style magazine heralded as ” a real triumph “.

New book category - Indiana Jones is back

Published by kwan on at 11:05 pm under Publishing, Uncategorized

Indiana Jones is back in flavour, and a Bookrabbit category for Indiana Jones has been created.

£6.44 Buy The Indiana Jones Handbook: The Ultimate Adventurer's Guide

Categories on BookRabbit can be created by the public so books are categorised how the community sees fit. This is ultimately more flexible than the book industry standard could ever cater for. If you have a specialism, support a particular cause or are simply a fan of a certain subject/movie/star create a custom category and furnish it lovingly with relevant books. It could be a category on quantum physics, brain surgery or simply High School Musical, or even a Jedi one. In this case it’s Indiana Jones. Others can add to your category, so you don’t have to do all the building yourself, it’s a community effort. Your club, work collegues, friends or other BookRabbiters can help out.
